Formulation: Dual‐release mechanism intended to suppress stomach acid throughout the day.

Indications (What it’s used for)

Healing of all grades of erosive esophagitis (EE) in patients aged 12 yrs and older.

Maintenance of healed EE & relief of heartburn symptoms.

Treatment of symptomatic non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn, acid reflux) in patients 12 yrs+.
Dosage & Administration Notes

For healing EE: 60 mg once daily for up to 8 weeks.

For maintenance of healed EE: 30 mg once daily (dose may vary) up to 6 months in adults.

For symptomatic GERD: 30 mg once daily for about 4 weeks.

Can be taken with or without food.

Capsule should be swallowed whole. If necessary, the capsule can be opened and contents sprinkled on applesauce then swallowed immediately (without chewing).
