Latanoprost 50mcg\/ml and Timolol 5mg\/ml Ophthalmic solution\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
What is Latanoprost\/Timolol used for:<\/b><\/p>\n
This combination is used for patients with open-angle glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye that can lead to loss of vision) to reduce eye pressure and in patients with ocular hypertension (a condition that causes elevated pressure in the eye).<\/p>\n
Do not take Latanoprost\/Timolol:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0If you are allergic to Latanoprost\/Timolol or any of the ingredients in this medicine. Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0If you have respiratory problems such as asthma or severe lung disease causing wheezing and shortness of breath.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0If you have heart problems or arrhythmias (heart rhythm problems)<\/p>\n
Possible side effects of Latanoprost\/Timolol:<\/b><\/p>\n
Possible side effects of Latanoprost\/Timolol include: allergic reaction, respiratory problems, chest pain, eye infection, redness and dilation of eye vessels, eye irritation, darkening in eyelid or eye color, changes in eyelashes color and direction, increase in eyelashes length, number and thickness, eye inflammation, eye swelling, blurred vision, burning and stinging, foreign body sensation, itching or skin rash, eye infection and watery eyes.<\/p>\n
How to take Latanoprost\/Timolol:<\/b><\/p>\n
Recommended dose is one drop in the affected eye once daily. Do not use more than once daily to avoid excessive decrease in eye pressure.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Wash your hands. Uncap the bottle. Tilt your head slightly backward and pull down your lower eyelid making a pocket. Keep the bottle above your eye with the tip facing down. Look upward and away from the bottle then press on the container to release a drop. Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes with your head facing down, making sure not to blink. Gently apply pressure to the corner of your eye for around 1 minute.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Space your eye drops by at least 5 minutes.<\/p>\n
How to store Latanoprost\/Timolol:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Store unopened bottle at 2 to 8\u00b0C. Unopened bottles can be kept at a temperature up to 40\u00b0C for a maximum of 8 days. Once opened, you can store the bottle at room temperature.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Discard the bottle 4 weeks after its opening.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Keep out of the reach of children and pets.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Do not use beyond the expiry date mentioned on the box.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Keep away from light.<\/p>\n
